1. General Terms

Welcome to Penguin Swim School. By enrolling in our swimming lessons, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all students, parents, and guardians engaging in our services.

Penguin Swim School reserves the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. Payment of fees constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Class Policies & Attendance

2.1 Group Class Policies

Lessons are conducted at both private and public swimming pools in Singapore.
Lessons are held rain or shine. In the event of unfavorable weather (e.g., heavy rain, lightning risk, poor air quality with PSI above 150), land-based drills will be conducted in a sheltered area.
No refunds or replacements will be provided for lessons affected by adverse weather conditions.
No lessons will be conducted on Public Holidays or during the 5th week of the month (if applicable).

2.2 Private Class Policies

Private lessons require a minimum of 2 hours’ prior notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so will result in the lesson being forfeited.
If a student misses a lesson without prior notice, no replacement or refund will be provided.
Private lessons must be scheduled in advance and are subject to coach availability.

3. Fees & Payment Policy

All lesson fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full before the start of each lesson package.
Fees are charged on a monthly basis for group lessons.
Late payments may result in suspension of lessons until payment is received.
Any lesson cancellations initiated by Penguin Swim School due to unforeseen circumstances will be rescheduled at no additional charge.

4. Cancellation & Replacement Policy

Group Lessons: No refunds or replacements except for medical reasons (with a valid Medical Certificate submitted within 24 hours of the missed lesson).
Private Lessons: A minimum of 2 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Failure to notify within this period will result in the lesson being forfeited.
Replacement lessons for medical-related absences must be utilized within 1 month of the missed lesson, subject to coach availability.

5. Student Safety & Assumption of Risk

Students and parents acknowledge that swimming is a physical activity that carries inherent risks.
While Penguin Swim School and its instructors will take necessary safety precautions, we are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may occur before, during, or after lessons.
All students must follow the instructor’s guidance and adhere to pool safety regulations at all times.

6. Parental/Guardian Responsibility

For students under 12 years old, a parent/guardian must be present at the lesson location.
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their child is fit to participate in swimming lessons. Any medical conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed prior to starting lessons.

7. Coach Assignment & Engagement

Coach assignments are determined by Penguin Swim School based on availability and student needs.
Parents/students cannot directly engage our instructors for private lessons outside of our school’s program. Any such engagement will result in immediate termination of services.

8. Conduct & Disciplinary Action

Students and parents are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times.
Disruptive behavior, including refusal to follow safety instructions, may result in removal from the lesson without a refund.

9. Photography & Media Consent

Penguin Swim School may take photos or videos during lessons for training and promotional purposes.
If you do not wish for your child or yourself to be featured, please inform us in writing before the start of your lessons.

10. Limitation of Liability

Penguin Swim School is not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged before, during, or after lessons.
We are not liable for any injury, health condition, or accident occurring at the lesson venue.
Participation in lessons is entirely at your own risk.

11. Amendments to Terms & Conditions

Penguin Swim School reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice.
Any changes will be updated on our official website.
